The more I learn about US military history and foreign policy, the more of a pacifist I become. So why do I still do the Army thing, you ask? Because I do it well. I've been in the Army for almost 17 years. That's longer than anything else I've done in my adult life (aside from being a bachelor). Longer even than the 11 years I've spent in higher education. Like in that prison flick with Tom Hanks, you could say I've been institutionalized. And also, if not I then who? Who will fight the good fight? Who will be the guy in the white hat? Who will be the liberator of oppressed people? Like Krshna tells Arjun in the Bagavhad Gita, I have come to believe that this is my karma, and I am willing to accept it.

Along with that karma is also those years of higher education I mentioned. I started college right after high-school because everyone else seemed to be doing it, so it must be the right thing. That lasted two years. After four years of active duty, I decided that it was time in my life for me to have a college degree. Plus I needed the GI Bill money to cover rent. An associate's in welding was the beginning of a nine year run ending with two associate's, a bachelor's, and a master's. When I was actually in school because I wanted to be (and had a financial stake in it too) I was a much better student. Other students would ask me when I was going to graduate and get a "real job". Well, I believe "real jobs" are a myth. How much more real could working for the Army and fighting "the war on terror" be? Plus, I've had jobs and I've been in school, and I like school better. I'd like to share the fun I have with someone who doesn't whine about old-woman-aches-and-pains--or anything else, who likes classic rock (and music in genral), likes to slow dance, is open, happy, independent...but would be happier in love...someone who laughs with ease at private jokes, appreciates my romanticism, and smiles with pride when she catches me, across a crowded room, looking at her as if she is still a young beauty in my eyes.

First of all i recently realized my profile on here kinda paints a different picture of me than id like to put out there. Im not a player. the only reason im on here is because i have a hard time meeting people due to my job. I love riding my ninja. im always the nice guy or try to be. im also very straight forward which at times makes me seem like an asshole. I was raised in the midwest, and moved to ABQ about 6 years ago. I got my BS in Biology and decided that it just wasn't what I wanted to do. I moved out here and put myself through culinary school. I graduated a couple of years ago and I have been exploring different options in the field. I am interested in opening up my own restaurant or catering company at some point in the near future....but first I would like to become a health inspector.

Well to start off with the four big things I'm bisexual, polyamorous, a pretty big geek, and a goth. I tend to be very patent and a good listener. Not all of my interests but that covers the major ones.

I used to ride motorcyles (a very, very long time ago!). I love country western dancing, although I'm a bit rusty as it's been awhile. I'm a tall, slender guy, 4 tattoos, no piercings. I can a bit random at times, I would say I'm reliable with a touch of spontaneity. Expect pointless random questions with me. Well to summarize ME, I'm a relatively easy going guy with a witty and sometimes goofy sense of humor. I like playing sports and other outdoorsy type stuff when I get the chance.
